Degree Requirements
Students must complete a total of 42-quarter credits to earn the MSCM and may choose from three pathways within the degree:
- Thesis Pathway: 9 core credits, 9 thesis credits, 24 elective credits
- Research Paper Pathway: 9 core credits, 3 research credits, 30 elective credits
- Coursework Pathway: 9 core credits, 33 elective credits
A maximum of 9 non-CM credits can be applied toward the degree and at least 18 credits must be numerically graded.
Full-time students typically complete the degree in 4-5 quarters.
MSCM students may also pursue a graduate certificate in the College of Built Environments.
