Affiliate Instructor
Dr. Saeidi is an affiliate faculty in the Department of Construction Management. She holds a B.S. in Architectural Engineering, an M.S. in Urban Design, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Construction Management. She has 10+ years of experience working for architectural firms, general contractors, and private homebuilders designing and delivering marketable construction documents. Prior to moving to the U.S., she also worked as a site engineer on various construction projects, of which Milad Telecommunication Tower of Tehran stands out. In her current role as the Mixed Reality Lead for the Global Workplace Services at Microsoft, she drives strategy and executes initiatives that enable creativity and innovation to improve workplace experiences. Her work demonstrates her passion for translating cutting-edge research into practice (e.g., virtual prototyping, nD modeling, immersive computing) to enhance operational efficiencies of construction activities and building performance.
At UW, she teaches CM 414 Virtual Construction where she advocates for building dynamic capabilities for digital transformation in construction. Her class provides an introduction to managing the digital life cycle of construction projects and its fundamental effect as a driver for business process review and improvement.
