Developed in partnership with the College of Built Environments, UW Professional and Continuing Education offers a variety of certificate programs.  Taught by industry professionals and CM faculty, certificate programs are not part of a degree program, but are designed for working professionals who seek continuing education, those interested in exploring the field, or professionals in a related field who would benefit from a background in CM. Prospective graduate students who lack the educational and professional background to enter the graduate program also benefit from the CM certificate program. Current options are listed below. Questions may be sent to the PCE office, info@pce.uw.edu

Building Information Modeling (BIM) Certificate

The Center for Education and Research in Construction (CERC) and Skanska teamed up in order to develop a uniquely focused, applied Building Information Modeling (BIM) skills certificate course.  Students will leave this course with tangible BIM software skills and an understanding of work processes, as well as enough industry context to decide why and how to leverage these capabilities.

This three-hour, weekly course is being offered twice each year in Fall and Spring.  Unlike other CM Certificate programs, this course is offered though CERC and available 100% online.  Please note that this is a self-sustaining effort and scholarships/financial aid are not available.  However, current UW College of Built Environment students and current Skanska employees are eligible for a considerable discount.

See the course outline and other information about the BIM Certificate.
