Intermediate Designer, Rocky Rochon, posted 8/30/18

Intermediate Designer

Seeking razor sharp and innovative Intermediate Designer

About the Company

Rocky Rochon is an award-winning Seattle based design firm specializing in high-end residential interiors and architectural detail.  Our goal is to create experiences out of interiors and bring elegance and beauty into everything we build. We are blessed with having a client list that allows us to push borders, innovate, and create work that we wish we could live in forever.

As evidenced by our diverse portfolio, we work with a wide range of design aesthetics, scopes of work and budgets. We take great pride and enjoyment in the different challenges that each project brings to us.

But right now, to quote the words of Joan Didion, “the center will not hold”, we are growing and continually upping our client base which means our workload has increased and we are looking for new talent to join us in the force against blasé design.

On Culture

Measure twice cut once.

Make great coffee, enjoy better Martinis.

Work smart, play hard.

We are an eclectic group of passionate “slashers” that love architecture and design.  We are composed of designers, architects, and managers that work at Rocky Rochon and / (slash) follow their other passions (photography, surfing, furniture design, landscape design, etc.) We love working with grit and then rewarding ourselves because we know satisfaction is better when you’ve gone through the grind.

We are as transparent as it comes, open armed, and not at all passive.  We’ll take witty banter over a nice suit any day.  We respect and welcome all and encourage a work culture of good vibes and respect.

About the Position – Intermediate Designer

We are looking for a full-time intermediate designer, but not just any intermediate designer, a person who can contribute his or her’s unique iconoclastic experience, style, and points of view in a firm where all there is, is potential. We are looking for people who would like to be part of a little firm family that continually pushes for counter-intuitive thinking and fearless design.  Hopefully that’s you! But plain and simple, we’re looking for people who believe in self-starter action, can take direction and run with it, and would like to make a difference and a name for themselves in the company.
