Job Title: Field Project Engineer

Jansen Inc. is a rapidly growing heavy civil general contractor capable of executing various disciplines including utility and road work, concrete paving, environmental, and marine work. Our success has been based on surrounding ourselves with excellent people who enjoy the challenge and opportunity offered in the construction business. We are currently seeking a Field Project Engineer to work directly with the Field Operations Manager in relation to day-to-day construction operations in the field. This position is based in Seattle.

Essential Functions:

  1. Creates Look Ahead Schedules and Work Plans for field personnel as instructed
  2. Ensures utility locate requests are up to date and on time, meets with locaters onsite to ensure locates are correct
  3. Confirms materials are ordered on-time and onsite prior to work
  4. Attends meetings onsite, represents and reports back to Field Operations Manager
  5. Provides day-to-day support for field crews and field office, including quantity tracking, quality control and other ad hoc duties
  6. Assists with punch list completion



  1. Previous construction experience (heavy civil/roadway preferred)
