Kamin Built is seeking a Project Manager for their residential division. The ideal candidate is a team player who can work with little supervision and must be experienced in all aspects of residential construction.


Residential Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of residential construction. Day to day work consist of scheduling and writing contracts for subcontractors, oversee the jobsite from start to finish and complete project in a timely manner.


  • Manage all field work and oversee all phases of the construction.
  • Create and manage a schedule for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prepare subcontracts and agreements with all subcontractors including receiving of liability insurance certificates.
  • Maintaining all documentation associated with the permitting, estimating and construction of projects.
  • Manage projects and inspections and follow safety guidelines on the jobsite at all times.
  • Project completion: Final audit contract, punch list, clean-up, resolution of outstanding issues.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Able to read construction drawings and specifications.
  • Oral Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and receive clarification if needed; Responds well to questions; Participates in meetings.
  • Written Communication – Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite.


  • Three to five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Residential construction experience.
  • Proven track record in managing projects and people.
  • Ability to understand construction related documents and read plans.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and demonstrate leadership skills while being an effective team player.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Must be able to pass a strict background check.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This position involves work at a construction site where duties will be performed both indoors and outdoors.
  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other business machines
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
