summer internship, posted 3/26/17

We are reaching out to see if you currently have students considering an internship this summer. We have added two summer 2017 internship opportunities here at Walsh, and would consider interested students from either the Construction Management or Architecture programs.

CM internship: full time, paid. Undergrad students preferable, as we feel they gain the most from this experience, but we welcome graduate students to apply. Intern would be working alongside project engineers on at least two jobsites, with project team oversight. Start/end dates are flexible depending on student’s schedule.

Architecture internship: full or part time, paid. Undergrad or graduate. Intern would be assigned to our QA/QC department, reporting to our QA/QC manager.

Walsh Construction Co. is a general contractor in the Pacific Northwest; our corporate office is located in Portland, OR, and we have a branch in Seattle, as well as a small satellite office in Tacoma. We build mainly affordable, multi-family housing, as well as commercial and residential mixed use buildings, housing for the elderly, and student housing (including Poplar, Alder, and Lander Hall on the UW Seattle campus). Below is a link to our website, as well as links to some of our recently completed projects:

Students can apply directly here: (Please note: RDF Builders Co. is a division of Walsh. We employ our interns through RDF so they can be classified as hourly in payroll, and get paid once per week, as opposed to salaried through Walsh and only paid once per month.)

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you,
