Job Description:

We currently have a part-time opportunity available in our Dallas, TX office. The Project Coordinator will assist the Construction Administration Team with multiple projects with design and construction related deliverables. He or she will be responsible for document and sample management as well as delivery. This is an important role because this person will be responsible for ensuring a smooth filing process and acting as a dependable member of the team. The chosen candidate will have a background in architecture or construction, and is a current student. It is preferred that the applicant has completed their Bachelor’s degree and/or working toward achieving their Master’s degree.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Processing RFIs using Newforma software
  • Verify drawing/specification sets are correct, prepare transmittal information, and send out to client
  • Extensive client customer service
  • Assist the PM with facilitating construction administration activities
  • Communicate directly with the consultants and architects regarding status and issues per the PM’s directions
  • Managing physical site samples
  • Assists Project Manager with project delivery and submittal of project deliverables
  • Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail, faxes, mail/UPS, etc.
  • Assist PM with schedules and work plans
  • Organize and maintain files, files correspondence and other records on each project assigned – both hard and electronic copy filing system
  • Coordinate, document, and schedule department meetings
  • Eager to learn and assume more responsibilities as needed
  • In the office Monday through Friday (4-6 hours per day, 5 days per week)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture or in a related field (construction or engineering)
  • Experience in hospitality, mixed-use and multifamily development
  • Architecture or construction student who is able to work 20-30 hours per week
  • Has maintained at least a 3.3 GPA
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint and other software programs
  • Knowledge of overall design and project delivery process
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • Ability to identify and prioritize critical tasks
  • Ability to follow-up in a timely manner
  • Excellent clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Positive attitude and driven to succeed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree and working toward their Master’s degree in Architecture
  • Knowledge of industry standard practices and loss prevention practices
